A No Labor - Labor Day

Around our house, we love a day off!  Even if we only get one - we make the most of it by getting out of town!  This Labor Day we headed off to Reynolds Plantation with our awesome neighbors.  They have a cute little second home there and my "sister from another mister" Ashleigh and her boyfriend came as well.  This was the second time the 6 of us went on this trip... We are a wild crowd to say the least.
Bailey absolutely LOVES the pool.  This time we staked out a spot by the baby pool and I put her in with her float.  She just walked around the pool, playing, singing, babbling, and saying da da da da da da... I LOVED seeing her move around on her own, it really made me wish I had one of those baby walkers but it appears they have been outlawed :(
Reynolds Plantation is so much fun.  We always begin the trip on Friday at a cute little spot called the Silver Moon - they have the BEST peel and eat shrimp and pretty good margaritas!  That is actually where our friends got engaged.  Saturday and Sunday are spent by the pool with the kids and the guys get a round of golf in.  The Lake Club has several pools each appealing to a different age group.  The baby pool is - well, just as it sounds.  Then there is a bigger pool where the kids can swim and families camp out and it has an enormous slide that I love going down :)  Lastly is the adult infinity pool.  It is like paradise - gorgeous stone work, waitresses, cabana boys, you name it.  Everyone over there is young, beautiful, and of course... no kids allowed.  Since Bailey and Sydney, we have spent many hours staring over the fence at the adult pool remembering those days - it is hilarious the laughs we have when we realize we are drooling to jump that fence! As you can imagine, us girls usually end up at the baby or kids pool and every so often the boys come and relieve us so we can meander to the adult infinity pool, grab ourselves a delicious summer cocktail and feel a little more hip!  Without fail when we return to the kids pool, the guys are never there - they always take off with the kids and can usually be found in the clubhouse watching sports... silly boys.

Bailey will be 9 months old this month!  That seems so crazy!  She is crawling everywhere, climbing up all the walls, chairs, tables, beds, you name it...  She babbles, loves to be tickled, and has 8 teeth!  She loves the food I make her, her favorites are pears, apples (with cinnamon and nutmeg) eggs, strawberries, pancakes, and grits.  I honestly believe that if given a choice, she would give up ALL of that for milk!
Christian left for Switzerland and France this past week leaving Bailey and I on our own.  We have had lots of fun - we went to a jewelry and clothing party Friday where I gave Bailey a little education in shopping and fashion. Tomorrow we have BIG football plans as I follow my Fantasy team :)
Life is good! Ciao!

Sunday Pancakes!
Bailey's favorite thing to do is empty my purse.  This was in the lobby at the doctor's office...
It really makes me think twice about what is in my bag - if you know what I mean...

This is so fun mama!

I call this "The Fountain of Youth" - acting childish keeps you young :)

Can't get enough of this guy!

Bailey thinks this baby is real.  I am not kidding.  It think she has a crush on him...
