Bringing Bailey Home...

Leaving the hospital was bittersweet.  We were so excited and in love, but with that love came the realization that our happiness was a complete result of someone else's pain, suffering, and loss.
It is difficult being happy when you know that someone else is hurting.
Once home, we began to settle in.  We have been told by every person we know that Bailey is the most content child, but we still found ourselves looking at each other sometimes and wondering "What have we done?"  Christian once woke up, looked at me, and said... "This is way harder than I ever imagined."  But we both protest that it is the most wonderful kind of work - the work of love.
Since bringing Bailey home, she was sleeping a good 5 hours at night and we slowly pushed it further and further.  She is an excellent eater, gaining good weight, and she is definitely going to be tall.  This will be new to me...
